Izy, How wonderful. If you had been able to bring your stash from Spain, you wouldn't have met those wonderful people. There is a reason for everything.

My mom was a quilter, but has lost her sight. We are going to have an open house for our church quilt group to "shop" through her stuff. She want her things to go to someone who will appreciate them and put them to good use. We plan on serving tea/coffee and cookies and let our friends have a field day!

I am so sorry to here that your Mom has lost her sight, that must be one of the worst things to bear, especially if you are a quilter. I am sure the church quilt group ladies will have a field day and as you say at least your Mum will know that the fabric will be put to good use and be appreciated!

Have a lovely day with all your quilting friends, mines tea with a little sugar please, oh blow the diet I will have a 'French Fancy' too

;)

I'm having sensory overload looking at your treasures.
Marti Michelle's templates are expensive. Of course anything costing more than ten dollars is expensive to me! There are three sets of her templates in my stash and I would love to have some more, especially the hexagon ones.

I was so pleased when I saw the type of fabrics, I think out of all of them there was only a couple that I truly thought I don't think I can use that, but as they say, even ugly fabric can be used in a project if it is cut up small enough LOL!

There are lots of fabric with hints of gold through them, quite a few Kona Bay Asian fabrics, I will have to think of something special for those, maybe a nice wall hanging... oh my mind is whirring away thinking what I can now make!!

Thanks everyone for your enthusiastic responses!!

I have many times sat here :hunf: so it's nice to hear y'all ooohhing and aaahhhing over my treasures
