The simplicity of the quilting design repeated makes the quilt have interest and texture. Great job as usual, Charisma.

Charismah: It looks like your quilting is RAISED? Is that an optical illusion or is it really raised? I'm fascinated by how you'd do this. It's lovely. The sashing looks as if you sewed 2 different shades of fabric together then made the sashing. Is that correct? NOTHING about this quilt is ORDINARY and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. I love scrap quilts!

The owner of the quilt explains how the blocks are made somewhere on one of these pages but the sashing is actually part of the blocks. My quilting isn't really raised...But if you did want raised quilting it would be called Trapunto..and there are several different ways to achieve that. Thank you for your kind words.

Beautiful colours, piecing and quilt to finish a fantastic looking quilt. Brilliant job both of you.

What a great pairing! I especially like the way the squiggle worked out.
