Well I snatched it right up. A little hot water and oxyclean took the water stain out and it looks great. It's such a shame when people don't care for the love and care it takes for someone to make a quilt for them. This quilt even has scalloped edges.I am proud to give it a new home and to take care of it.
Very pretty. Thanks for sharing.

It is lovely and you are very fortunate. I go to yard sales and thrift shops and maybe one day I will find one too.

What a beautiful quilt and such a shame that the woman it was made for didn't see the value in it. So glad that you will give it a good home.

My goodness!!! What's not to love about this quilt! I have a quilt on my bed right now that one of my grandmothers put together. Just a scrappy but I can feel the love when I'm wrapped up in it at night. Some people just don't get it do they.

Good for you! You saved a quilt. One who doesn't do the art of quilting doesn't realize the work that goes into a quilt. It is priceless...Lucky you!

What a shame she didn't want to keep it. Maybe she didn't exactly care for her mil! Anyway, its a keeper in my book.

What a beautiful quilt! It's too bad the recipient didn't appreciate all the love and hard work that went into this quilt. Bless you for giving it a new home!

hmmm... divorce, maybe?

It is lovely! I'm glad the stain came out & it found a good, loving home.
