Gee I am barefoot more than I have shoes on.

Here in the south, no shoes is very common. When I get home from work, shoes and my bra are the first things I shed when I come thru the door. I only wear them when I have tooooo!

slip-ons... Unless I'm going outdoors or doing something that requires sturdy footwear.

Don't know about urban myth but when I grew up in FL, it was illegal to drive barefoot. Not that I didn't do so tho. Always went barefoot back then.

If I wear heels I kick them off to drive so technically I am stocking footed!! Otherwise my toes cramped up.

Ditto! Can't imagine wearing shoes in the house. For a time, I had to because I had plantar faciitis, and I hated it! Never have liked shoes. When I was a kid I ran barefoot on the hot rocks even.

May have been just an urban legend, but "the law" was the same in Texas. We were usually going to or coming from the beach and were always barefoot!
