As I was putting my treasures away it got me to wondering how many kits I had; not too many I found after counting; 18 in total. Everything from queen size quilt, wall hangings, table runners, and bags. I started buying kits while I was working so that when I retire fully time, and don't have as much income to spend I would have my stash to go to.
So how many kits do you have?? or am I the only one kit stashing??
NONE. Never bought a kit. Rarely buy a pattern.

For me, a big part of my fun with quilting comes from seeing a pattern for a block and imagining it in different settings, with different borders. I may sketch it several different ways on graph paper or in EQ. Then go to stash and satrt pulling fabrics. I love doing that!

A kit would just mean someone else does it for me. Why should they get all that fun?

I only buy patterns for applique, not for pieced quilts. I can get plenty of them out of magazines or free off the internet. And boy do I have plenty of them too.
