No, it wasn't that hard. When I put the borders on, I just put on the 2 sides, then made the top and bottom borders with the corner blocks at each end of the strips. I think it turned out pretty good. I just used the table runner directions, but just more fabrics. I did have to figure out the triangles at the end of each column and the sashing between columns. The sashing was just fabrics that I had in my stash (for years). The sashing is 3 pieces (1" yellow, 2"blue, 1" yellow). I sewed them together and then sewed that unit between the columns. Worked pretty well. I do have a little buckling of the sashing, but I think the quilting will take care of that. Welcome to the board. I've learned so many useful tips on this board. I totally love it.

This is gorgeous!! Thanks for sharing such a work of art. I would keep it too. Beautiful colors, and great workmanship. Looks so nice on your bed... :)
