Thank you mirabelle and everyone else. The colors are not coming over very true, the dark color is a purple batik and the redish looking color is really a hot pink batik. I will have to not use my blackberry camera next time or try better lighting. I appreciate your cutting directions, my practice blocks all turned out but more than once I has to go back and cut more material for them as I was short. So you made it much easier!!!

AKweiland....it looks like you're taking to pp like a duck to water. Beautiful block.
Honchey...hope you come to a good solution for your mobility and can keep leading this charge. Thanks for the mirror trick. I have one but forget to use it. It would save me some "practice" blocks!

    Good Morning Everyone!!

The blocks are beautiful-they make me want to do another one!!!! But I won't as I will get too behind.

Thank you for your kind comments on the red block. I love to sew, but picking colors and fabrics is really hard for me.

Finally, a HUGE shout out to Mirabelle-thank you SO much for the cutting instructions. I cut as I sewed and made fabric changes as I went along and that made life a lot easier!!

    Have a lovely day everyone!

    Hi Everyone,
I contacted QOTS about the differences in the sizes of the blocks..They said that the "shrink to fit needs to be turned off and that the differences may be because of different printers print differently....Just wanted to let you know...H.

The appeal of this series is how different all the blocks are. Makes me want to keep up--but will enjoy the eye candy and appreciate all the work each one of you are making in these blocks.

Wow what beautiful blocks, I have downloaded the first and am inspired to join all of you.
So now I have a fun project to work on. I better get going since I am behind. Off to the stash to select fabrics.

I agree that all the blocks have been great. Things have been busy so I haven't been able to post regular comments like I like to, but know that I am looking at them and have really enjoyed the "show". Just 5 more days and we get to start seeing block #2! YAY!
