    We are okay...DH out of work till Wednesday....

    Lot of trees down...some still without power ....could be till this Sunday...


    We just got our power back on at 7 pm Tuesday....Went out Sunday...lucky we had water cause of living in town.....I'm having withdrawls....Sewing....I have and old time machine ,,,,treadle needs a belt....DH even spent most the day trying to fix it for me...tried all kinds of ropes...leather...no luck ....will be on the look out to get that puppie fixed....So I can sew.... Did have a few bindings to hand sew down till I got caught up....then started looking for some more to do..

    We did have a battery opperated radio,cassette, cd....was listening to cassettes "At home in Mitford" by Jan Karon... I've got the whole series...on my 4th time of listening to it....ohhh by candle light....DH wants to listen to the rest .....bet we better be making some more baby quilts...you know whenever the electric goes off......people gotta find something to do....know wonder there were such large families years ago...both my great grandparents had 18 children Whooooo Weeee now that's a mess of kids...


    Just now catching up on the forum too....hey did anyone even miss me... :cry: :roll: Awe I Thank you all for your prayers...seems like the hole USA is in need....Ah the whole World....Did get to hear from our son in Florida....I would have went nuts...

    Well Chin up...sun will shine tomorrow!

    Yeap, Cathie did miss you but I know you guys had some bad storms down there on Sunday so I expected not to see people from Ohio since there was and still is alot without power. Glad you and the family is okay. So POST SOME PICS> heheheh

    Of course we thought about you, I started to worry a lot when I was watching the Pittsburgh's game and saw how bad it was raining and that wind. ooops should not have mention the game :oops:

    treadle needs a belt..//Cathie..I will tell you what I just learned! The belt on your tredle is prob and actually good enough to use. What I was shown was to figure out how much has been stretched out on the belt..you will find a slit where only a staple is holding that belt together...you cut it and restaple to the right tension. They condition them with mineral spirits...if you dont have that..use plain old vegetable oil. If I was in your situation...I would so try it!!:))This information came from a guy that use to help recondition them with his grandmother-SKeat

    Yep all is okay here now....praying for others now....

    Skeat...tried this first but belt is brittle....and now is to short....got a leather glove lace from our local shoe repair man....ahh alas electric back on but DH will have fun trying to fix it for me...Thanks for your suggestion and all the worries from others....

    Well guys, here in Columbus its been bad. I finally have electricity back on this afternoon (Friday!!!!) Its been fun :lol: :lol: :lol: Really, I only missed the refridge and washer, my laundry wasn't done before the power went out. And I missed all of you!!! I'm busy trying to catch up on my reading :shock:

    Has anyone heard from RILEY, her daughter was stuck and couldnīt get out of the storm. I am hoping evrything is alright with her.
