    Wow.

    WOW!
Now that's my kind of quilter.

Is that all appliqued or pieced? Or a combo?

How brilliant was she...and so innovative to come up with what is clearly a unique piece of work.

Thank you so much for sharing that - it's not often you see something totally new. I'm sharing that photo with my group.

    Fabulous!!!

eta: You know, the more I look at it, I see sort of the bones of a Mariner's Compass with some really, really interesting coloring. I could see how it could be pieced (even paper-pieced) with some extra lines to create a leaded (white fabric) effect. I'm off to play in EQ.

I have to agree with this statement! It looks like needle turn to me (which I will never do....) and it is BEAUTIFUL!

Sorry, I can not tell you the name either, but Starburst fits it perfectly!

One person that may be able to give you a hint on what it is may be Eleanor Burns. Go to her site and e-mail a pic to customer service. Here is the link: http://www.quiltinaday.com/customerservice/
What a good idea! It is so beautiful.

Well, Cheryl just today posted this link showing how to do an easy zig-zag, so figuring out that part is done: ;-)

Thanks for the link to the zig-zag - what a great way to achieve the results!

This quilt was needle turn and entirely hand pieced/quilted with beautiful, even stitches. The owner thought that this particular one had been done by her husband's great-grandmother around 1925.

I'm searching for additional pictures....I know that I took more than one. I'll post them as soon as I find them.

Would LOVE to see this done on EQ......Please share when you are done! :)

Wow, look at how she echoed the zigzag in the quilting.
