    Thanks, Qwiltylady! I love the pocket! I bought little ceramic tea bag holders shaped like teapots. I'm going to slip those into the pockets of my my mug rugs - the ones I'm going to make for 5 friends, using your wonderful tutorial.

    A mug rug is a glorified coaster. LOL. Its just bigger so that you can set your mug on it and maybe some cookies. Some people put a little pocket on them to hold a tea bag or a spoon and I have even seen them stick a little flower in them (stems inside the pocket).

    I put a pocket on it so you can tuck a tea bag or a cookie into it and then fold it over and take it in my purse when I am away from home. You don't have to put the pocket on.

    Thanks, Qwiltylady! Last night I didn't know what a mug rug was...tonite I have two done!! Now I want to do one with a shoe!
