    I would add the sashing row to the outside of the quilt just like you have for the interior, and, then, if the white fabric that you used for some of the ovals on which you appliqued the letters/flowers is different and brighter than what you used for sashing, I would use that for the border and then bind it with the green or tan or whatever color you you like. I also agree that a leaf/vine pattern to use in the border would be very nice. I love this quilt--it is quite wonderful, and you should be very proud of it! Carolyn

    oh what a gorgeous group of blocks...and I shall remember your lesson about NOT sewing while being sick with the flu....lol.

    Have you thought about several thin (or varying - an inch, then a inch and a half - and then back to an inch?) borders around your blocks...say one in a green, perhaps a light orange and then maybe yellow? Something that would pick up the colors in the blocks????
