I marvel that they can make a hole in that slender shaft of a needle--and thread doesn't eventually snap through the side of it. How do they do that?

Thank you for sharing. The schmetz chart is especially helpful. I just wish Schmetz would have kept their old cases. The top of the case was a magnifier and you could read the numbers with ease. I have kept a few old ones for that purpose.
