Hi there and welcome from Florida. You might want to check your local quilt shop and see if they are offering any quilting classes. I also checked a lot of books out at our library. You might want to start on something kinda easy to start with, maybe a 4 patch. Good luck. There is a wealth of information on this site. If you get stumped just ask for help. :):):)

Welcome from the southern pqrt of Minnesota.The nice thing is you have much time on your side to try alot of different ways.You are starting at a good age so your skills will grow with you. I have done alot of hand sewing but have been only working on the quilt projects for a short amount of time.I used to live in Jersey and always love the amish products so that was my first bug.
