    Greetings from California. I would recommend that your fabrics should be of similar weight. If some are too thin, you can secure them to a heavier interfacing and stabilize the pieces. It is also important that the different fabrics handle well in the wash. As long as those factors are met - go for it. Your quilt, your design, your rules!

    Welcome from Kansas/Germany! Edyta Sitar is a desinger for Moda but has a website: www.laundrybasketquilts.com She mixes fabrics all the time...really beautiful stuff. :) Good luck!

    Hello and welcome from SW Iowa. Glad to have you here. I mix fabrics all the time. Lay them out and see if you like the combos and then go for it.
