So beautiful! I've never worked with batiks, but maybe this would be the fabric to go with? Have fun with it!

I was in Joann's today and browsing the book racks (30% off this week ;-) ) on my way out.

A book I had never seen before (I think it just came out) contained a lot of ideas about incorporating panels into quilt tops - more than just surrounding it with border after border.

You can see from the cover how they altered the panel to give it a bit of 'extra' umpf.

I have seen these large panels cut up and made into attic windows, there was one here a couple weeks ago with a horse panel,it was stunning.

I am in the planning stages of a quilt made from a panel with deers...its bordered in great fall leaves...I purchased a couple complimentary fabrics to border it with. One was of fall leaves that match the leaves in the panels quite well. I am going to put a border of that fabric all the way around it and then applique leaves over top of leaves and into the surrounding borders incorporating them into each other.

I'd find some print that compliment quilt with some plains and use for borders. Don't want to take away from the beautiful panel!!

Yes, good idea or, if you have six panels, do hexagon OBW or stack&whack. Four or eight layer patterns would be a good repeat.

some years ago I made a quilt for an eagle scout using a panel with a soaring eagle and a triple irish chain. The panel sets near the foot of the bed when made. The blue fabric is fishes because he was a swimmer in high school - still is, but now he coaches.

That was my thought too. This would be perfect for that.
