    Thanks for this info. I did use flannel once and it was nice but hard to mark the pattern on.

    So do I. Don't like the stiffness of interfacing and, well, I just never thought to use a muslin backing!

    I always use muslin backing in my crazy quilts. It gives me enough weight that I don't need a hoop.

    Well!!!!! I've learned something new today!!!!! I'll have to try the muslin. It makes perfect sense, but I have never heard of doing that before. :wink:
