    Autumn would be my choice. It has more useful life than a few weeks out of the year.

    I would go with autumn, as it is usable for a longer period of time, unless you go with a winter theme (rather than Christmas) on the other side.

    I wouldn't do a holiday themed quilt, I would do one that could be left out all year around. I might use the seasonal colors, but I would make it so it doesn't say specifically Thanksgiving or Christmas.

    For sale in September, I'd go for fall. Mid-October or later. I'd go for either Christmas or "gift-able".
