Thank you all for the wonderful comments. I made the Boston appliques from fatcatpattern applique designs, but I made the little terrier pattern myself...it looks like him a lot because he is tiny with big ears and spots on his chest...

That is too adorable for words. Not only is it personal, it is just plain fun. I love your border fabric and then the binding fabric. They were great choices. Together they made this secondary design that looks just great to me. What a treasure this will be.
