The Quilters Guild Acadienne (Lafayette LA) has taken on the Home of the Brave project for this area. I am currently assembling finished blocks by adding the sashing, corner squares, and border.
I'm fairly new to quilting myself, but have been exposed to it as my mother-in-law and my sister both quilt.

Evidently I've been living under a rock because I'd never even heard of this project until this thread. I Googled it & was mighty impressed with what I saw. I need to read some more about it, but I may have to add this to my to-do list. I already make QOV's so this would dovetail nicely with that. Wasn't there a college-aged girl several years back that started something like this? It seems like I read something about her in some of my quilting magazines. Or am I tripping?
