I save all mine. Not necessarily to sew some together, but because I'm always grabbing some to do practice FMQ sandwiches. Each time I try a new pattern, I practice, practice, practice.

You can use it for Quilt as you Go or you can use it for pot holders. If I want
to sew some pieces together I trim the pieces straight, butt them together
side by side (no overlap) whip stitch, then go my sewing machine and use a
a large zig-zag that makes 3 little stitches instead of one long stitch.

I cut any remaining scraps of batting into 8" squares to use in the next rag quilt I make.

I save mines, the small ones I use for craft and the meduim to large ones I zig zag together and reuse.

I save it until there is just too much. Never heard of batting tape before, so will check it out.

Thanks for the tips on batting tape and zig zag.!!! I have kept all my scrapes and trust me when I tell you I have bags full. I have pieced them together for a small quilt project (by hand). I also use them for small projects. Never know when a piece of batting will come in handy:::

I actually just gave 2 large garbage bags--one of fabric scraps and one of batting scraps!

I keep them they are great for pot holders. You can always find a use for them. ;)

I save most of them, and stitch them together either with a zig zag on machine, or big stitches. So far, haven't had any problems.
