Grid Rulers
#12
I am a huge fan of Creative Grids. They have built in grippers to help keep the fabric steady as you cut. I had the flouresent green and yellow rulers and but made way too many cutting errors. I like be able to view my fabric and find the Creative Grids cuts very accurately. I know that they are a bit more expensive but are certainly worth the extra cost. I was fortunate to have been gifted several new ones this year and have been selling some of my older ones. I have two 6.5"x 24.5" left, pm if interested.

I found the slotted June Tailor rulers to be fine for cutting strips for bowl making. Otherwise not so good. I have trouble holding a rotary cutter and if you even slightly tilt your cutter then your strips aren't even anymore.
As for other rulers I used to love OmniGrid but as my eyes 'mature' I find I like the Creative Grids more. The colors with the OmniGrid were interfering with seeing the lines.
So, try them out at the store or a quilting venue and see which is easiest for you to use. Try with different colors and patterns of fabrics and see .... literally.
