I used to knit, and crochet, but a neuromuscular disorder prevents my hands from doing it. It's the reason I found quilting, which I am MUCH better at.

I'm a longtime beginning knitter (never knitted enough to move up to intermediate) so I can't give you any advice.
But I just googled the Peacock facecloth and love it. I might try it over the winter.
Sorry your's didn't work out.

I wish I knew how to knit. I don't know a soul that lives around me that knits or I would talk them into teaching me.

I also knit a little. I have taught myself how to knit a simple lace pattern scarf, a cool ribbed hat and I love knitted dishcloths (the simplest patter, Gramother's Favortie).

I used to knit a lot-mostly afghans. Recently I knitted a bunch of baby hats and booties. I enjoy it, but have to be in the mood to knit.

I do scarves and dishcloths. Give them away at Christmas usually. I love the Chinese Waves for dishcloths. Easy and durable.

My Grandma taught me to knit and sew when I was 6yrs old! I had a baby sister when I was 14 and knitted all her baby jackets bootees etc!! Over the years I have knitted many things! I did a lot of scarves last year for Christmas! I am knitting a baby blanket at the moment in between my quilting!! I just love being creative with fabric OR wool!!!
