Yeah some of the places folks were selling pigs and chickens :lol: I guess when your out in rural America you will see lots of things.

It is definitely a must do thing if you have a chance.

I did it last year and it is wonderful..didn't get to do it this year. I went to a retreat this weekend. First time for me. That was my birthday present. :D It sure was fun.

There is a hiway sale in Arkansas the first weekend of August. Bargains galore on 64. It starts close to Little Rock and goes up thru the northwest corner to Fort Smith. We have been several times. It is fun, but very tiring. In 2010, it was so hot the pavement melted my shoes.


I like vintage fabric, especially feed and flower sack. First village center, by the railroad tracks all the vendors were set up. Most were just ordinary people. One tent had a few white flour sacks. I asked if she had more. Oh boy, I bought all she had. White ones and printed ones. Have a brown paper grocery bag full. I told DH we could go home now, I had what I came for.

Those road sales are so much fun. We live in Georgia and I keep saying we will go one year.
