    Beautiful! I agree that the first was too dark. I like the straight edges on the second better also.

    Right now it's at 51.5"x35". Each square on the paper is 1" so I cut my strips at 2.5" to finish as 2" squares. I cut 3" squares to make the HSTs.
    l am planning to add 3 borders, a 1 or 1.5" next, then a 2.5" then to finish with a 4" woodgrain fabric border with mitered corners, like a frame.
    I'm thinking it needs to be a little wider so I might add just side borders somewhere in there.
    This is my first attempt at making anything with so many squares, especially this small, to line up. It was much harder on my neck and shoulders than I realized it would be so took me a lot longer than I anticipated.
    I was nervous to make so many small HSTs but I just knew it needed them to look right after the first try. :D
