    What a sweet memory.

There's still at least one company that still makes flour and sells it in floursack calico.

I searched using their expanded search option, just clicked 19302 and cotton and came up with 40 different fabrics at less than $5 a yard,

I just finished a book about fabrics of different eras. It stated: 30's were more pastel and small prints while 40's began to have brighter colors and larger prints. Hope that helps a little.:)

The book is: Making History--Quilts & Fabric from 1890-1970 by Barbara Brackman. Two of my favorite time periods are Civil War and 30's,40's so I found the book very interesting.

Since those are 2 of mine, I will see if I can find the Book.
I like history, and have done genealogy for years, I like putting little story;s or tidbits of history, in books I am doing for my grand children, because they have no idea what it was like living in those times,
Sorry, I am rambling this morning.
