As long as you'll be driving to NV, and there's room for your quilting essentials.....enjoy yourself.

I understand completely. I throw my machine in my car always as I travel. Sitting in hotel rooms might as well be productive (laughter). Have a safe journey and enjoy whatever you do.

I do that all the time, and if you're driving, no problem!! Just don't let the bellmen take your machine to your room.I actually have a big enough suitcase I can take a cutting mat and rulers, too if needed. Just a note tho...the lighting in the rooms stinks!! If you have a small OTT lite, bring it, otherwise I take the shades off of the lamps...a girl's gotta do what a girls gotta do!!! have fun!!

Sounds like a good idea to me. Especially if you are driving, why not take your sewing project along.

I always take handwork usually on trip that I am flying. But I did manage to bring home a sewing machine in my carry on this month. Boy was it heavy to lift into the overhead compartment.

Me too. Also look for quilt shops in the area.

I understand. We're getting ready to go to Wisconsin for 4 days and don't have hand work and my husband bawks st loading the sewing machine. I've downloaded books but it just isn't the same as sewing. I have new projects to start when I get home so I'll make it with that to look forward to
