This is Carpenter's Star, another variation is Broken Star, another is Rolling Star, and another name is Carpenter's Wheel. It is a wonderful pattern with sooo many possibilities. I'm currently making a HST Carpenter's Star in blues and red. Got the pattern on this quilting board site. So thank you.

Thanks, sewweary. The picture of Beyer's Fractured Broken Star I on saw on flicker is using the same type of pattern.

Taino, what is an HST Carpenter's Star? And did you purchase the pattern, or is it a free posting here?

Where could I get a poster of that picture? Vermeer couldn't have done it better.

Double wedding ring is the name of the pattern on the table, and carpenter's wheel on the wall, yes?

Thanks for asking about the pattern. But I absolutely love the photo. It would look great framed on my wall.

I'd like to know where to find it also. I want to add it to my list of to-do patterns. The colors in this example are fabulous!

It's a Carpenter's Wheel where the diamond shapes are made of 2 triangles. That way you don't have to mess with Y seams. This quilt block is a traditional pattern, so there are lots of free patterns and variations all over the web. Here is one:

I don't think it is a Jinny Beyer pattern, the earlier poster simply said it LOOKS like a Jinny Beyer pattern. I searched her website and couldn't find it either.
