Fabulous. I love OBWs and it really is not all that easy finding workable fabrics. This is wonderful. And you'll have so much fun putting it all together. I love the aspect of "Oh! Look how this turned out!" as you go along!

The fabric I really want to try with is an Asian panel. It's a whole pagoda scene with people and mountains and ocean. I think stacking 6 panels and whacking them up would result in some really fabulous hexagons!

You are going to have such a beautiful completed quilt. For a novice you've done so well. The colours are lovely and you have made such a good job of the cutting. Well done

Wow! I have always loved that block too, but been to chicken to try it out. I love the look you have gotten out of fabric that I wasn't too wild about! I may try this after all.

Great start! What I especially like about the OBW in the 6 triangle sections, is you have 3 equal sides to turn to get the look you want. OBW makes you look at fabric in a whole new way. Your choice is going to make a beauty! I have a half a bolt of weird fabric waiting for me after I complete some UFOs. It has large black and white birds on a turquoise background. Not something I would normally buy but it was inexpensive and I think it will look good chopped into pieces. We will see?
