Ill vote for a wool over a cotton any day of the week.

I would vote for wool. Dream Wool is my favorite.

Hinterland

Everyone has their own favorites. I like Blue Ribbon Cotton batting, but right now I'm using Hobbs wool, which is very nice - lots of puff. I get my smallest stitches with Mountain Mist Lite, which is a polyester batting. I've also used and liked Hobbs Polydown.

I didn't care for Warm and Natural, or Quilters Dream - I used the lightest weight, but there was no loft. Some folks like a flatter quilt, but I like to see some contrast.

I belong to a hand quilting bee and most of us use Hobbs 80/20 when it is our turn to have a quilt done. We have quilted on at least one wool batt and it was nice.

Have alwaysused warm and natural but may need to experiment seeing so many of you say Hobbs.
