Maybe just cut into strips and use some pretty coordinating fabrics. Table runner? Please post picture of finished project. I would love to see what you come up with

Sounds like you have been given a challenge. I agree with the Halloween mug rug. Applique a large pumpkin to cover most of it...LOL

What does the reverse side look like? I found a rather ugly coin fabric in copper, gold, black on the $1 table at Hancock's last summer and bought 5 yards thinking charity quilt backing. When I pulled it out of the dryer I noticed how wonderfully pastel the reverse side was, so that's side I will use in a quilt.

Someone once said(someone on here I think) There is no such thing as an ugly fabric- you just haven't cut it small enough! If it was in 1 1/2" strips in a string quilt, it would not be noticeable. And yes that FQ is definitely string-worthy!!

Well....guess Im the odd one. I would fussy cut the individual flowers, and make a bouquet. I can see gold centers, with some black embroidery around the centers, some applique leaves, and maybe add some other flowers in fall colors. If you remove that gray back ground, I think you might like it.

I would use it to try a technic or pattern you have on your to do list. Stack n slash, purse pattern you've had for years, dog bed?

Make a charity pet bed/quilt or something for an animal. So long as it is warm they won't mind and it will have gone to a good cause. I agree with Tanyal whatever you make you will always "see" that fabric. Good luck whatever you decide.
