See? That's my problem exactly. Most of mine are "fine" -- they're just not "matched" or even "match-able". I guess I'd just not very creative.

I've seen orphan blocks used on the backs of quilts when just a little extra is needed to get the right size.

I put a border around the blocks to make them all the same size and then I make a "sampler" quilt -- I do try to make the colors similar.

Just a suggestion... post the in the " free offers and donations" sections on this board. There are lot sof people making charity quilts that would love to have them. Sometime I have seen listings on the request part of the board , then I send mine .

If I have an extra block I try to use it in the backing if I can.

I include them in my Mile-A-Minute quilts. Those quilts have everything but the kitchen sink in them, so nothing really clashes. I also add them on the backs of quilts when the backing fabric is too short. I just join them all in a row with some sashing.

Some I have made into pillows...some that do coordinate I have saved to maybe someday work into a quilt. Some I have put on our guild's "put and take" table if I know I am not going to use them....someone always takes them.

Don't know what to do with mine but can't seem to make myself throw them away, so they are stored in a box for now.
