Let me know how you are doing with this frame. I am considering buying one for myself. I sent Ken an email. Did he send all the right stuff he advertized on youtube? Sounds like a cost affordable alternative to quilting my quilts. Thanks

do you attach canvas leaders to those poles? Or, how do you mount the three parts of the quilt. I can see where a bed size might only go half way thru do to the smallness of the harp of the machine....Can you then flip those poles and wind the other way? Never saw this set up before.....good luck with it

I did attach canvas fabric to the leader poles and it worked out very well. I also changed out the wheels for the coaster kind and that also made it much easier to make "swirls".

I did two practice quilts and even tho it works I still wish there was more room in between the poles for the actual quilting. I felt I was always moving the fabric on the poles than actual quilting.

For the price I am glad I got it and know what it's all about. I have not used it since. I next plan to learn how to do free motion quilting using that new machine that I bought (to use on the frame) instead. I may turn out to be the kind that enjoys making the quilts more than "quilting" them other than by hand which I do often.

I don't have this one yet, but I would really like to get it. When you are doing machine quilting with one of these, if you are doing straight lines, do you still keep your walking foot on and the feed dogs up, or do you lower your feed dog and use the little hopping foot that you use for free motion quilting. I quilt on my home machine, but this is such a good deal. In fact, he lives out in the same area as my husband works. Wonder if my hubby could pick the parts up for me one day. This would be fun to have.

Does it stand on the floor, or do you set it on a table?

Yes, you do drop the feed dogs and use an open foot.
