    Using just 2 fabrics makes it look like a maze or some kind of Greek design. I really like it. Very unusual.

    Sounds like what my dh would say. He said when he was a kid, he loved to play on quilts that had "roads", (sashing between blocks).

    thank you all for all the wonderful words. It makes me want to do another quilt. I was so pleased with the turn out on this one. I am going to try to stick to the easy ones until I get more experience. Don't give up on me I will be posting another one soon I hope. Everyone have a wonderful and safe Labor Day. All of you have inspired me to get going on Quilting. I read this QB everyday. Love it and have learned so much, there is a lot of informative Lady's on here, I hope one day to be as smart.

    Oh, I want to make one of these!!! It's a wonderful quilt, and it looks like you did a great job. I agree with others that the rail fence using two fabrics gives a wonderful look. My 2-year old grandson would have his little trucks on it, driving all those roads!

    you did a great job... can't believe it is your first. i love that butterfly fabric... i used it in my DGDs quilt.

    Didn't know I could make a rail fence with just two colors. BTW, purple is my very favorite color!
