Great quilt top! Are those parrots fussy cut from fabric or appliqué? It looks really good set in the Attic window pattern.

A red cheeked amazon owns me so you must know that I just love your parrot quilt. Is it your own pattern?

That is so much fun. What great fabric choices you made for the birds.

Thanks for the compliments! They are not a fussy cut but cut from birds I had draw onto a piece of printer paper...lol! I then mark each piece with it's color then cut up the paper to create my "patterns". Each bird cut out of it's real life colors. I'm working on a easier version right now using less birds, bigger blocks as these little guys are just sooo labor intense that it can take me 3 days just to cut them out, a good week+ to sew just body parts on, (each piece is sew i matching thread) a few more days just for feet & eyes (they are so small that once the foot goes down, they disappear!)then Assembly! I have so many people that want them, best I can do is ebay them & let them go to the highest bidder (usually 800-850) on the rare occasion that I have one that is't being given to a bird related organizations like for research, rescues.
I'll have to look up a red cheeked! I think there should e a mexican red head on there....lol!
Since my pic is kind of umm, ad, I'll attach a closer up of a few...
