    Thanks for the websites. Now I just need to figure out if it's a low or high shank. Also have you ever been able to loosen the screw for free motion quilting. I don't think it has ever been loosened.

    Joanne,

    All Singer 15s are Low Shank machines.
    The feed dog drop screw on mine was tight but not stuck. Some oil and a pair of pliers with rubber on the jaws and it came right loose. More oil, turn it in and out move the feed dogs up and down then reset it and all is well.

    Joe,

    You have been so helpful again. I will take your advice and keep oiling that screw. Maybe I will actually be able to free motion quilt on this workhorse. Going to also get a walking foot for this one.
