How wonderful! Let's hear it for dumpster diving -- or its equivalent. I agree with you about not starting it in its current condition. At least let it warm up to room temperature so the oil and grease can do their thing. Enjoy!

That little beauty was in the trash? Someone needs 40 lashes with a wet noodle. But it was a good thing for you. Enjoy!

Beautiful. You can get parts at sewingpartsonline.com or sewclassics.com, I think those are right.

There is a spot of wear on the edging decal but all in all it doesn't look too bad. There is some rust on a few of the bolts but..all in all it was a happy surprise. He had no idea what he brought in..

Yes. We live in an area with a lot of people that come and go and when they leave the stuff just gets thrown out onto the curb on trash day. But it was a lucky day for me!

LOL, time to crawl out of bed and look at this beauty eye to eye. (j/k)

Lucky you! I paid through the nose for mine, but it was a birthday present and that was what I wanted. If you're nervous about plugging it in, you can replace the wiring, they have the motor, plug and foot pedal at sewclassics.com. Or you could just try replacing the wires.
