For an online store Hawthorne Threads and Connecting Threads. For physical store I will have to say L and M in Anaheim - it is a warehouse full of fabrics in all price ranges.

There was a Fabric Land in Phoenix when I lived there years ago. It used to be my favorite way to cheer myself up on a "blue" day. I think they closed it up not long after we moved away. Sadly, there are so few fabric stores to choose from any more that "favorite" and "only" mean the same thing. More and more, I find myself ordering fabric on line.

Keepsake Quilting in Center Harbor, NH; Quilted Threads In Henniker, NH; Checkerberries Quilt Shop in Northwood, NH; The Quilting Corner in Tilton, NH; The Sewing Diva Quilt and Gift Shop in Derry, NH. I also like Mardens in Sandford and Scarborough ME. They are not really quilt shops but they do have a fabric department that has quality fabrics at discounted prices!

Replies to this ? will come from All over the world! I am in PA, USA and my absolutely most FFS is The
Wooden Bridge Drygoods store in Kutztown PA. Going there is more of an event than just going to a fabric store. It is in the middle of a farm with the most beautiful cows and horses. The bridge goes over a gently rolling stream and you can stand on the bridge and see the trout along the rocky bottom. Purple Martins fly about in the summer. Roses bloom in front of the building. It is a most pleasant place to visit.

They have about 9000 bolts of fabric, and are most helpful and friendly.

I love it. If anyone on the QB knows this store, they understand the charm of the place. This is a good time to say thank you to them for being there.

peace

Tie between Kelly's Sewing Corner in Erie PA and Fox's Sew (and Vac) in nearby Meadville...although I love The Gallery in Mercer, too

My LQS, Pappy's Quilting Place in Maryville, TN. The selection of fabrics is excellent and the people who work there are awesome.
