It is so big that I get overwhelmed in there and usually don't buy anything. I do agree that one hour is not very much time to see everything. Have fun in Oregon. It is a little cold in my part of central Oregon.

We go to Portland every couple of years but so far I haven't made it to Fabric Depot. It's definitely on my list for the next trip.

My son took me to Fabric Depot when I visited him in Portland. It's wonderful and I've done a lot of shopping on line since the visit. They have a wonderful selection of extra-wide backing fabric if you prefer not to piece the backs of your quilt. The last piece I ordered was a gorgeous red and the fabric was so lovely and hefty that I saved every scrap.

I also live in Oregon but on the other side of the state so I've only been there a couple times. But when I was there I was there for hours!

Ok, my sister lives in Keizer, Oregon. I'm 6 hours south of her. I bet I can talk her into going there next time I go up to visit her! What side of Portland is the store on?

Live near Portland and have been there many times it is a very dangerous place ( fabric lovers heaven ) I try to avoid going there because it is so easy to go crazy in there

I don't live very far away, so I'm there often.....maybe a little too often! And one hour, is way too little time to spend there. Maybe you'll get a chance to visit again and take your time.

I live about 10 blocks from Fabric Depot and have to drive by their signs reading 35%off, 25% off, etc and I could probably go in every time but manage to control my urges...usually. All online purchases are usually discounted pretty good too. I can't believe the new stuff I find every time!
