    Wish my center black HSTs would line up, ugh, but I'll use it like this. Did I mention that I am a newbie & need every willing mentor? Off on Friday then busy for three weeks trying to close out this school year so I can quilt all summer!

    djmat, I don't see anything wrong with your center black HST's! Your block is wonderful and so bright, like a sunny day!

    Thanks for the support. Never made a block with 57 pieces, quite daunting. DD chose the Steeler Nation colors which I find garish. The yellow floral pentagons with the 2 small triangles attached looks like a gardening hat, lol.
