I googled leaf block & chose the 6" block. I added 2" finished sashing that was the same fabric as the background fabric in the leaf block & used the red border fabric for the cornerstones. I did that because I was running low on the background fabric. So, just google "leaf quilt block" or "maple leaf quilt block" & you should find block patterns for 6" to 12" blocks.

Great quilts! MSQC just put up a Falling Leaves runner that shows how to make the blocks. I love the scalloped border on your stars. I find a ruler an asset for FMQ straight lines.

Opps, the name of the runner was Lovely Leaves and MSQC just put it up this week.

Thanks...I've wondered if a ruler would help. I have a Juki on a frame & it doesn't have a ruler foot. I think I remember finding a quilt shop website in WV where they made ruler feet for Juki machines. I think I may have to invested in one, because there are just too many times I feel that I should have SITD or I have seen a tutorial on how to do a straight line design. I can't remember the name of the shop. I'll have to start searching.

If you go to www.seamstobeyouandme.com there is a nice video of ruler work on her No Fear Chevron Quilt. Take a look at it to see if a ruler would work for you.
