    me too, I don't pick anything out. I might if I were doing intricate piecing and the bulkiness of the extra thread might warp the block, but haven't done any intricate piecing yet so no worries for me

    For piecing do the same as everyone else. If quilting I undo to a suitable place and pull both ends to top and finish off ie
    Thred needle and sew into batting. Then restart one or two stitches before other finished, bring both ends to top and begin.
    Others may have a better continue quilting.
