Anyway one of her GD showed such an interest Ceri put together a starter quilting set from an old sewing machine to FQs and Rulers. To give her additional support I have put together a pre-cut D9P kit and will send her it next week. She is only about 28 years old so it's great to have a new young quilter joining us all. I feel so chuffed that I have spread the love of quilting to yet another generation.
You should be proud of yourself.

Learned a new word today - chuffed. I just finished explaining what stuffed shirts means to my 25 y/o daughter so I guess it's a good day for learning

I would like to say thank you for your encouragement to this woman and her GD. Wonderful feeling to help others along the way!!

Love that you did this for her. Always feels so good to share our love of quilting with someone else.

And in turn in the future, the GD may start another younger person quilting. Good for you

That is so wonderful. I have a "new" DIL of about a year. She showed interest so I bought her a new Janome and she is working hard at learning to sew. She is doing a great job and I am so proud of her. I also have a granddaughter who is a crafter and trying to learn. It makes me so happy to see them learn, especially since Home Ec in school is a thing of the past.
