Which Singers had the round plate surrounding the stitch length lever?

On the subject of the round plate around the stitch length lever: I thought there were only those two, but then a couple days ago I saw a Singer 191J for sale. I can't find the ad now, but Google brought me this picture from elsewhere on this board:

They seem to be pretty rare; it looks like a version of the 201. It also has the tension on the front, so it could (possibly) be the one your wife is looking for, if the 201 isn't it.

That is a very interesting machine. Although I've seen pics of both black ones and green ones I've never seen one in person.
I'll show my wife the pic, but she's pretty adamant the machine she learned on was the old style.

I have an extra knee bar . . . I did not realize they came in two styles (actually three, if you can find the straight one) so I bought one for my portable, only to realize it had the wrong end. Of course, the older style I needed is more $$. Now I'm not sure if I should look for a case that fits the newer style knee bar . . . I really don't need another portable machine.
