Obviously, there is a tension problem. However, the first thing to do is a really complete cleaning. when you get it worked out, these should be lovely presents.

I know you are unhappy with the eyelashes but on your particular use of it in the Christmas one it does look like a planned design element. Pretty!

Default Try rethreading the bobbin.

When my machine does this, the bobbin thread needs to be rethreaded because it is not in the tension guide.

Boy do I appreciate everyone! I decreased the tension to 3.5 from 4.5 and slowed down. Eyelashes showed up when I found myself going fast slowed down and decreased the tension further to 3.2. I decided to be free from restraints and just free motioned all over. I like how it came out so far.
thankyou for your encouragement especially as the first "eyelash" one was my very first attempt at FMQ. Here is my second attempt.

Your boxes are really cute. Usually eyelashes are obvious mistakes, but in this case they're quite nice.
