It is beautiful, what a great feeling to finally be done. I inherited my moms UFO, not sure if I will be able to complete it.

I love your quilt. I have always wanted to make that pattern. Is it easy to make by hand? I sure wouldn't mind trying one , If I could do it by hand.

Eva, this is not an easy pattern, by hand or machine. It takes a lot of time, but is certainly possible to do. I would recommend getting the templates for the pieces made by Sharlene Jorgenson. They will make your pieces very accurate for piecing. Also, there are ways to make this pattern faster and easier, like making all the arcs from a single fabric, instead of many pieces. There is even a method which cuts the arcs out of pieced strips (strips sewn together side by side). That method is faster, the individual pieces making up the arcs are shaped a bit differently than if they were individually cut, but it is really not noticeable in the final product. Lots of ways to make this. Different strokes for different folks. Go for it!
