Did not see this at these particular shows but the newest craze is the micro chip that you can sew right into a quilt and you activate it with your smart phone and it will talk to you. You can give the quilt info, tell a bedtime story, sing a song...

The wave of the future.

I went to Market and Festival as well... Market was absolutely incredible, and I definitely learned alot about where designers and manufacturers will be heading in the next year! I was actually a little dissapointed in Festival. While I definitely tend to be drawn to the more modern fabrics, I felt like there really wasnt very much of even the more traditional prints. Lots of wool, dark colors, and accessory type stuff... ah well, there's always next year :-)

I have that book and it really is an open door to be mooore creatve and have some fun. I am working on cow quilt now.
