I have some of these buttonholers just laying around. PM me and if you still need it after Christmas I will be glad to send you one.

"I want to point out the two screws in the front. The older style can come with either - one is identical to what is used with the hemstitcher. You don't need the funny shaped screw with the buttonholer, but you do with the hemstitcher."
This is not clear to me. I don't know what two screws you mean.

Here is an older style buttonholer and a hemstitcher

The screws show the funny shaped one that comes with the hemstitcher and some of the buttonholers, and the fatter round one that is standard with the plastic case buttonholers - and some of old style buttonholers.

Either screw will work with the buttonholer - but the hemstitcher requires the funny shaped screw.

So if you need one for the hemstithcer - you can pay through the nose for one.

Or find an older buttonholer that is going cheap (there are plenty of overpriced ones on ebay) With shipping, you may end up paying the same, but this way you get a free buttonholer, with box and instructions!

BTW- if someone needs just the hemstitcher screw - I've ended up with several extra.

Wow, you have a lot of attachments and info.

I want to make pet beds for the local animal shelter and need to go through several layers of flannel. The buttonholes I have already made had a hard time and the buttonholes turned out awful. It may be that I need to do some other adjustments but am looking forward to trying the buttonholer for the Singer 99K. I haven't purchased anything extra to go with the Singer 99K, so this will be the first. It is such a nice little machine. Even my husband loves it.

I like those little 99s, too. I love how the button holes turn out with the old attachments. The new machines just don't have it.
