I like DottyMo's idea. I would fix it somehow. I don't worry much about the backing, just want it to look nice.

The Appliqued snowflake is a WONDERFUL solution………..the quilt label is also a good idea…but my vote is the snowflake..

You could combine the snowflakes and a separate label or use different size and / or shaped snowflakes as the label putting different information on each one- name of quilt, date made, who made it, etc. scattering the snowflakes on the back.

I agree with others- perhaps scattering several snowflakes of different sizes will make it look like a planned design.

In one of my quilt books, a lady talks about how she worked so hard to finish this quilt and when she walked out of the room, her 3 year old daughter took snips out of the front of the quilt with a pair of scissors. She appliqued right over the snips and it won blue prize after blue prize. So I think your suggestion of a big snowflake is wonderful.

That's exactly what I would do.

I think a big snow flake appliqued onto the back would be a great idea, and if you're up for it a couple smaller ones scattered across the back; but a big snow flake would look great.

It is a flannel snow flake pattern so I was thinking maybe put a big snowflake over the error and use it as a big quilt label. Would it look tacky? It is on the back~ any help is appreciated.

I like sapdoggie's idea of scattering the info with the snowflakes. Good Luck.
