I have a Go that I use all the time. It's easy to store and set up.
I wish I had a big shot pro and the space to keep it. You can cut more layers of fabric and use dies from all the manufacturer s.
But I really don't have the space and do get a lot out of my Go.
I have a book by Ebony Love that has a lot of great info on die cutters. It will answer all your questions and teach you stuff you haven't thought of.

I had the go. I sold it and bought the Big Shot Pro. It will take the Go dies that I already had. Sizzix has new quilt dies out and they are supposed to have more in May. (their dies seem to be cheaper and Hobby Lobby now carries them). It is a lot sturdier that the Go.

You might consider the Fiskars Fuse, which is often on sale at Joann's for $99.99. It takes Accuquilt Go! dies (needs a shim), and the Bigz & Original Sixxix dies (needs a shim). It folds up, is very sturdy. A little heavy at 21 lbs, but still manageable.

It has a great gear ratio...only a few turns and you're done. The accuquilt die you can cut up to 6 layers of fabric at once. The Bigz die says 6 layers, but I've done 7.

Don't waste your money on the Fiskars dies. The machine itself is wonderful!

Quiltingwarehouse.com currently has a big sale going & they have the Accuquilt Go for $187, usually $350. And it's the new model too. I cancelled an order I had elsewhere to get this one.

Marjoire that is what I was told too and I bought a cat dye for the go machine and it will not work in my sizzix it is too wide.
