    I make my own spray starch using water and corn starch. Just mix a teaspoon or two (depending on how stiff you want your fabric) in a little bit of cool water. To this, stir in one cup boiling water and stir well. Stir in one cup cool water and stir well again. When cool enough to handle, pour into a spritzer bottle. Shake well before each use and discard any starch after 1 week. (there are no preservatives (yay!!), so it won't last long, but that's okay for two reasons. First, you will no doubt use it all before the week is up, and second, even if you don't, this literally costs about 4 cents per batch, so no big deal throwing some away.)
